Detroit police, ambulance involved in crash


Detroit — Detroit police and emergency vehicles were involved in a rollover crash Saturday night on the city’s west side, authorities said. 

Police are investigating the collision that occurred at 10 p.m. at Chicago and Linwood in Detroit’s Boston Edison neighborhood. 

A Detroit ambulance was T-boned by a Detroit police car at the intersection of Chicago and Linwood while transporting a patient from a fire on Lawrence Street. Officers and EMS workers were removed from their vehicles with injuries and transported to the hospital.  

Police were unable to say how many people were involved, their conditions and what led to the crash Saturday night.
